Josh brings over 13 years of experience in athletic performance and coaching to Frederick Training Center, where he serves as Manager and Director of Coaching. A lifelong multi-sport athlete, Josh played collegiate lacrosse, which sparked his passion for training and coaching. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Salisbury University and has pursued advanced certifications, including:
Josh has spent over a decade training athletes in the Urbana area, working with high school and collegiate athletes across multiple sports. During this time, he has had the privilege of coaching All-Americans, Kelly Award winners (Maryland's top public school lacrosse player), Gatorade Players of the Year, and multiple County Players of the Year in soccer, lacrosse, volleyball, field hockey, track and field, wrestling, and softball.
In addition to his role at FTC, Josh is a varsity lacrosse coach at Urbana High School, where he has been part of two state championship teams. He also leads the preseason strength and conditioning programs for both the Urbana boys' and girls' lacrosse teams, helping players develop the physical and mental tools needed to excel at the highest levels.
Josh's coaching philosophy is centered around developing not just athletes, but well-rounded individuals. His goal is to provide meaningful experiences that enhance physical, social, and mental growth, equipping athletes with the skills and values necessary for success in both sports and life.
