Frederick Training Center is excited to announce an exclusive winter partnership with FC Frederick! For the Winter 2027 season, teams playing in FC Frederick's Frederick Futsal League (FFL) can pair their league games with a block of training sessions on FTC's indoor turf, led by FTC's professional coaching staff.
The FFL is a games-only league, and every season parents ask, "Can my child's team train too?" This winter, the answer is YES!
This partnership is personal for us. Bo has led FC Frederick as Executive Director and Director of Coaching since 2009, and Jackie directs the club's Academy I program. All five of our kids (Tori, Jackson, William, JohnA and Isabelle) came up through FC Frederick, played soccer collegiately, and grew up playing futsal—and our son William is in the US Futsal National Team pool. We've seen firsthand how futsal builds quicker feet, faster decisions, and real confidence on the ball.
Futsal is the FIFA-recognized form of small-sided indoor soccer, played 5 v 5 (four field players and a goalkeeper) with a smaller, heavier, low-bounce ball. Games are fast, every player is involved, and players get far more touches than in the outdoor game—which is why so many of the world's best players credit futsal for their technique. FFL TEAM TRAINING AT FTC
Teams choose one of two training formats:
• FTC Staff-Led: FTC's coaching staff plans and runs every session. Choose technical work focused on the quick touches and fast decisions futsal demands, or FTC's signature Fusion Training, which pairs soccer-specific skill work with FABSS conditioning (Fitness, Agility, Balance, Strength & Speed).
• FTC-Guided: FTC staff work alongside your team's coaches to build a training plan tailored to your team. Your coaches stay involved, and FTC adds its expertise and facility.
Sessions: 7 total sessions (55 minutes each)
Cost: $200 per player (NOTE: Spaces are VERY limited and are expected to fill quickly!)

Not Enough Interest for a Team Session? Join FFL Group Training! If your team doesn't have enough players interested to book its own training block, your player can still train at FTC! Individual FFL players may sign up for FTC's group FFL training sessions, where they'll train alongside players from other FFL teams. Who: Boys & Girls, U9 through U19 (new USYS age groups), plus adult divisions
Game Days: 9/10U & 11/12U Saturday; 13/14U Sunday; High School (JV 15/16U & Varsity 17–19U) Saturday and Sunday afternoon/evening; Adults Sunday evening
Dates: Weekend of January 9 to February 21, 2027 (7-game season)
Game Locations: Local gymnasiums, including Friends Meeting School, Monocacy Valley Church, and others
League Cost: $130 per player (FTC team training is reserved and paid for separately)
